Today we have a guest post written by Tiffany Moore about the diet to conceive a girl.
Hi, this is Tiffany Moore and I decided to talk in this brief article about the dietary strategies of getting pregnant with a baby of a desired gender. They tell you what to eat to conceive a girl. Before going into details about each of these techniques, I think it is essential to point out the fundamental aspects of these diet methods.
In my humble opinion, the most important aspect related to these strategies refers to their safety or healthiness. In other words, before deciding to use such a technique of gender selection, it is vital to make sure that using any of these methods won’t cause you health problems. The best way to do this is by asking the opinion of your physician or the one of a nutritionist or even of a gynecologist, if you want.
It is also crucial to clearly identify the contraindications of the selected dietary method. If you suffer from certain illnesses or disorders, you shouldn’t use some of these techniques. Anyway, even if you are healthy and your doctor says that it’s okay for you to follow the chosen diet method, you must be careful not to exaggerate while following that diet, in the sense of avoiding the nutritional imbalances, which can be dangerous not only for your health status, but also for the one of the baby you are trying to conceive.
Another important feature of the dietary ways to conceive a girl refers to the fact that they represent methods of gender predetermination. More precisely, they tell you what you should eat during the period that precedes the moment when you get pregnant, because the fetal sex can be influenced only before the conception moment, and after this moment the fetal sex can’t be changed. This means that you should stop following that diet, once you discover that you are pregnant, in order to avoid affecting the baby.
The third essential characteristic of the dietary strategies of gender selection is that they don’t guarantee you neither the sex of your future child, nor even your pregnancy. More exactly, these diets can’t even promise you that you will get pregnant at all, or, if you do get pregnant, they can’t guarantee that the fetal sex will be the intended one. But these dietary methods do a useful thing: they (claim to) increase your chances of having an offspring of the longed-for gender.
The diet strategies provide some helpful tips for conceiving a girl in a natural and easy way. You ought to know that there are, in fact, two major dietary methods of sex selection:
- the Minerals method, and
- the Alkaline/Acid method.
The Minerals method controls the sex ratios of human beings by manipulating the intake of four minerals: Ca, Mg, Na and K. Thus, for a female baby, the woman should increase her consumption of calcium and magnesium, while limiting her consumption of sodium and potassium. This diet should be followed by the future mother for a period of four-six weeks before she gets pregnant, and it should be discontinued after the conception moment or after eight-ten weeks, if a pregnancy does not appear. The success rate of this technique seems to be somewhere between 70% and 80%.
The Alkaline/Acid method of sex predetermination states that, if they are eaten prior to the sexual intercourse, the alkaline-forming foods lead to male children, while the acid-forming food stuffs lead to female children. This means that, in order to increase her likelihood of conceiving a baby girl, a woman should consume, right before making love, foods that are acid-forming, or acidifying. It’s essential to be aware that this method does not deal with alkaline or acid foods, but with alkaline-forming, or alkalifying, and acid-forming, or acidifying ones. That’s because the effect that a food has on the human body is what really matters, and not the intrinsic characteristics of that food. So, for a daughter, you should opt for the acid-producing foodstuffs, the most important such foods being: any fish, any meat, any grain and its products, butter, cheese, mustard, cocoa, olives, beans, peas, walnuts and plums.
